Mighty Mud Class Policies
Last updated: November 11, 2015
Our classes are designed to instruct students while inspiring and encouraging individual creativity. Most classes are small and the environment is fairly informal, allowing the instructor to address the individual student’s needs and goals during each class session.
Classes are open to ages 14 and up, with exception of children’s classes, and all experience levels are welcome. Class sessions are generally six week sessions meeting for one three hour session per week. Class/materials fee includes
open studio time for the duration of the class session (Monday- Friday 11am- 6pm, and Saturday 9am-5pm). Additional supplies are available in our store. Special interest classes may vary in length, cost, and materials included.
Class size is limited, so class registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Registration may be done by phone, e-mail, or in person. Tuition must be paid in full in order for a student to be considered registered. When the maximum amount of students per class has been reached, a waiting list will be started. If an enrolled student fails to show up for the first class in a session, that student’s space in the class will be made available to the first name on the waiting list. (Exceptions to this policy will be considered by the instructor.)
Cancellation Policy: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to insufficient enrollment. Those registered will be notified as soon as the situation is apparent and given the opportunity to sign up for another class or receive a full refund. Anyone canceling their enrollment at least two weeks before the beginning of the class session will be given a full refund. If a student cancels their enrollment with less than two weeks before the first session of the class, 50% of the total will be refunded. Note: No refunds or credits will be given for missed classes or class withdrawals after the class session has begun.
Occasionally, an instructor may need to miss a class in which case a substitute instructor will be present, or the class will be rescheduled with the participants’ consent.
Preparation for first class: Students should show up to the first class session wearing clothing that they don’t mind getting dirty. Aprons are available for students to wear during studio time. Please refrain from bringing your children or extra guests to class with you, unless they are also enrolled in the class. Many of our students are here to relax, have fun and take time for themselves. We ask you to please make other arrangements for your children on class nights.
